BRETT PLAYER, OWNER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Founder, Brett Player has 20 years of award-winning experience in brand communications and advertising. He began his career with creative giant Landor, where he developed the logo and collateral for amfAR (the American Foundation for AIDS Research). Working as Creative Director (CD) and/or SR CD at PLAY, Home Depot and Jackson Spalding, Brett provided leadership for large teams to include strategists, designers, art directors, copywriters, developers, videographers and media planners.

This experience and his passion for understanding the 360 degree lens of good communications, allows Brett to thoughtfully craft brand communications from the inside out. He understands the value of consumer research and insights, strategy, media planning, creative ideation, execution, testing, activation and measurement. With over 50 industry awards, he has helped many Fortune 500 companies and large non-profits succeed in their communication goals.

Brett recognized the significance of large-scale thinking at an early age. He teed up his artistic career with the creation of a 5-ft.-tall, papier mâché giraffe in the third grade and has used his creativity for impact ever since. He graduated with a B.S. in Studio Art from Florida State University (FSU) and earned a graduate degree in Design and Art Direction from Atlanta’s Portfolio Center. He continues to rack up Master’s Certifications, more recently in User Experience Design and Advanced Mobile Marketing. A big believer in “passing it on,” he’s Vice Chair of the Dean’s Advisory Council for FSU’s College of Fine Arts, and an Adjunct Professor for both Miami Ad School and Furman University.

An avid outdoorsman who once worked at Yellowstone, Brett enjoys RV'ing and sports ranging from golf to fly-fishing to sporting clays. He’s an Atlanta native, where he resides with his wife, Caroline, and their furry hiking companion, Muddy.
